This year we are delighted to introduce you to Yana Stajno and her illustrated characters, Beattie and Beanie. Featured in a series of small, colourful narrative paintings, they were born in Cornwall and have had a textured series of adventures in pastels. Their first appearance was in two works, 'Beattie and Beanie go to war. But come back because they are too young.'

On this occasion, Beattie and Beanie arrive in Brighton by seagull, visit the landmarks, meet several creatures and have a new adventure involving a ruin, a fish and the 'burning of the clocks' march. In an increasingly dystopic world and in response to many attacks on childhood, the works are a celebration of childhood.
There will be an additional display of Brighton inspired watercolour paintings and drawings.
